With London’s striking skyline as its backdrop, the Great London Swim offers a unique urban swimming experience in the heart of our city’s capital.
Held in London’s Royal Victoria Dock, your friends and family can cheer you on all the way around the course from the dockside. Choose from the ? mile or 1 mile distance and help ensure no one faces cancer alone.
How to sign up
Please note we have now filled all of our ? mile charity places. If you would like to be added to a reserve list please let us know.
Sign up today at greatswim.org and tick the box to support Macmillan — the event organisers will then forward us your details. Or, once you have your own place, you can join the team by clicking ‘Sign up now’ and completing the short own place registration form.
Alternatively, you can apply for one of our guaranteed charity places by clicking ‘Sign up now’ and choosing the Macmillan guaranteed place registration form. You will not need to pay a registration fee; we just ask that you raise a minimum sponsorship amount of ?225 (1 mile distance). As above, if you would like to be added to the reserve list for a ? mile charity place then please contact the swimming team at email@example.com. (Please note the minimum sponsorship amount will differ depending on the distance: ? mile — ?150).
Whether you have your own place in the Great London Swim, or secure one of our Macmillan guaranteed places, we will be with you every step of the way. We will send you a digital welcome pack with everything you need to kick-start your fundraising and traiПing, including a sponsorship form, traiПing guide and some great fundraising ideas. Within the pack you will also find a merchandise order form which you can complete and return to receive a free Macmillan t-shirt, swimming cap and arm band. We will be there to support you on the day; to provide free refreshments, wish you the best of luck and most importantly to say a huge thank you for choosing to swim for Macmillan.
