It’s this time of the year, from 15th-19th October, Regent’s Park in London turns into the largest contemporary art event of the year, Frieze Art Fair is returПing with Frieze London and Frieze Masters, featuring combined more than 250 galleries, over a thousand world-leading artists, as well as a Talks programmes and different Frieze Projects. The fair also presents The Sculpture Park, showcasing selected woks in the fine English Gardens, as well as several restaurants prepared to cater for international collectors, curators, museum directors, art lovers and artists themselves who tend to come on the preview days.

With the recent announcement on the newly appointed director for Frieze Fairs, Victoria Sidall, founders of Frieze, Amanda Sharp and Matthew Slotover will concentrate more on forming upcoming projects for Frieze. As one of the leading art fairs in the world, Frieze London 2014 will coincide with Frieze Masters, in its 3rd edition, displaying ancient to modern art pre 2000.
This year’s Frieze London introduces ‘Live’, exhibiting performance-based installations, housed in a design structure by Universal Design Studio. Supported by Alexander McQueen, ‘Live’ presents six selected galleries works, which also consists of restating historical pieces created especially for Frieze. The fair also adds its inaugural Frieze Artist Award, presenting the prize to Melanie Matranga. Additionally, the fair involves ‘Фокус’, a section dedicated in supporting an exciting community of new galleries, which involves a grand installation with Atelier Bow Wow (Leo Xu Projects, Shanghai).

Frieze London returns for its 12th edition with Frieze Projects participating artists Jerome Bel’s ‘Dance Umbrella’, Cerith Wyn Evans with ZSL London Zoo, Isabel Lewis with the ICA, Nick Mauss with Northern Ballet, Sophia Al Maria, Jonathan Berher and Tobias Madison, as well as the London and Liverpool Biennial.
Additionally, Frieze Masters’ 3rd edition will be held on Gloucester Green in London’s Regent’s Park. Featuring carefully selected world-leading galleries and talk events, Frieze Masters will also present its Spotlight section that is dedicated to solo presentations. Curated by Adriano Pedrosa Spotlight will show artists, such as Francis Bacon (Malborough Fine Art), Alighierio Boetti (Ben Brown Fine Art) or Sigmar Polke (Fergus McCaffrey).
In celebration of one of the world’s greatest art fairs, contributing restaurants will play part in Frieze London 2014. Bocca Di Lupo (Bocca Above Frieze and Bocca Below), Brunswick House: Raw, Caravan and Caravan To-Go, GAIL’s Artisan Bakery, Moshi Moshi and Pizza Pilgrims will all be present along with Locanda Locatelli, Umu and GAIL’s Artisan Bakery at Frieze Masters.

Frieze London runs from 15th until 18th October 2014 (yes, you’re reading correctly Frieze London is not open on Sunday this year!), and Frieze Masters takes place from 15th until 19th October 2014. Therefore, if you’re planПing on going to Frieze London we recommend buying tickets today as Saturday will probably be sold out early.
