The Regent Street Christmas lights switch on has a history of attracting some of the worlds most celebrated stars, and 2014 is no exception. This year, Emma Take That are headliПing this festive extravaganza, which sees Regent Street transformed into a winter wonderland for lucky Londoners. There is also plenty to keep the crowds entertained before the main event with more celebrity appearances and live music from Jessie Ware, The Jack Pack, The Jersey Boys and hit boy-band Union J.
London’s Christmas season
This year the Regent Street Christmas lights switching on event celebrates the start of the festive season in style with celebrities there to flick the switch. 2014 sees a special fireworks display taking place in addition to the light switch on, where you can admire the decorations. In celebration of the release of the Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb film, the street will also traffic free all day too, with fun filled family entertainment taking place, as well as a special catwalk fashion show, displaying many of the fashion brands from the street.

The Regent Street Christmas lights switch on takes place at 5pm, Sunday 16th November 2014, with Regent Street being traffic free from 12pm onwards. The switching on ceremony and live entertainment takes place from 4pm onwards at the junction of New Burlington Street and Regent Street. Nearest tubes: Oxford Circus and Piccadilly Circus.
