So that’s the problem for many and why DVDs/Blu rays are dying out. It’s no different to why you hardly see anyone playing music on CDs today. The reality is unless you’re a ‘collector’ or you are really really a big fan of certain shows and movies, most people probably watch something once or twice and that’s it. With streaming, most people will watch it and move on to the next thing. But it’s hard for me to argue that it’s anything but a hit. But somehow there’s this group of “fans” who think that if something isn’t the most beloved series of all time, it’s a flop.

Most bikes offer rear-end comfort with a combination of seatpost and seat tube flex; that phenomenon has been well understood for quite some time.

On bumpy terrain, I can stay in the saddle and continue to apply power to the pedals- more efficient and less fatiguing in many situations. The ride is not soft, bouncy, or springy and you are certainly aware of the surface, but the vibrations are muted and bumpiness is damped. I can conclude Trek’s use of the IsoSpeed decoupler provides a desirable ride quality from the saddle on the Boone. The Aluminum Trek Crockett reviewed 2 years ago had a similarly smooth ride without the rear IsoSpeed decoupler, as do other bikes, so this quality can be engineered in different ways.

Making much of the work gig based on top of that seems to baked-in. To get back on topic, I regret the loss of all the ephemeral work they did back in the day before broadcast was regularly archived. Recalling their work that isn’t archived, I realize that much of our collective memory is shaped by what happened to get recorded and preserved, often haphazardly. I find it’s difficult to see it as a tenable economic model.

There’s no chainstay or seatstay bridge at the rear of the frame, so tyre clearance is generous with little place for mud to hang onto. Sadly, the cheap front derailleur undid these clearance benefits, and if you want to fit a wider rear tyre you will need a slim-profile OnlyFlings alternative front derailleur. The SR Suntour XCR fork featured well-sized 32mm stanchions and helped the X-Caliber hold its line though corners and rock gardens. A fixed rebound setting offered a balanced feel without harsh spiking or excessive packing down between hits.

However, the 38mm clearance won’t fit some of the larger gravel tires, and the bike doesn’t have accommodations for many of the extra bags, bottles, and other common gravel accessories. In short, the Domane is certainly very gravel capable, but is not a purpose-built gravel bike. Up front is a proprietary one-piece carbon fiber cockpit; the steerer clamp is matched with profiled headset spacers for a cohesive surface contour. On the down tube, just aft of the head tube, is a small hatch with either a holder for a Shimano Di2 junction box or a barrel adjuster for a cable-actuated front derailleur. You’ll also notice something else a little strange in that profile screenshot.

Though he serves as an obstacle for Picard, Stashwick imbues Shaw with much-needed empathy and humor. In fact, the entire USS Titan main crew have such palpable chemistry, it’s almost as if the writers are paving the way for a possible spin-off for this new generation of officers.
