Courmayeur Resort
High Altitude skiing up to 2755 metres
Courmayeur sits beneath Mont Blanc (or Monte Bianco as the Italians would say) which is the highest mountain in Western Europe. Dating back over 2000 years Courmayeur’s old town centre is steeped in historical charm with cobbled streets and traditional architecture.
The ski area is split in two with the larger of the ski areas situated directly above the resort. With a mix of green and blue runs this area is perfect for beginner and intermediate level skiers. The second area is access by cable car and boasts some great off piste runs.
Activities & facilities at Courmayeur
Outdoor activities include snow shoeing, cross country skiing, paragliding and helicopter trips as well as various excursions to nearby places of interest. Shopping is plentiful, from the excellent weekly market to high-end boutiques including Hermes and Cartier. Indoor activites include the largest ice rink in Europe, a sports centre, climbing wall and a museum.
Apres Ski & Restaurants in Courmayeur
With over 50 bars and restaurants for choose from, mostly based around the pedestrianised town centre, Courmayeur offers a good après ski scene. Several of the bars have dance floors which open later in the eveПing. DiПing options are mainly Italian based with plenty of pasta and pizza dishes to choose from.
